Oliver took the last steps at a run, turned around the corner and marched up to the flat. The thing was that the Scot had spent far too much time being wrapped up in his own little world, conveniently neglecting his best friend. Who had managed to accumulate an impressing amount of troubles himself, by the way.

As it was, the moment that Oliver dropped Angus off at school and learned that he was still on 'sick-leave' from Quidditch, his mind turned to Adrian – followed by his legs which brought him to the other man's flat within a matter of minutes where he now knocked against the door furiously.

"Ade?" Oliver called in a voice that informed the whole street about his presence. "Open up, mate. I can hear you brooding inside!"

( The quiet sounds from the nearby school were still easily distinguishable, as was the sound of the mild breeze that ruffled the first leaves on the trees. And that was it. There were no other sounds. No birds. No insects. Nothing. )
